'Coming to Our Senses' is an interactive course-and-community in Connecting with Nature for Wellbeing. This 6-week module focuses on reviving our relationship with the natural world.
It guides us through engaging weekly activities to practise locally, which help us to slow down and get into our relaxed Forest Bathing state of mind. In that calm and curious state, we experience our local nature in fresh ways.
Our direct personal relationship with nature has largely been forgotten in modern society. Yet this beautiful connection lies dormant within each of us, just waiting to be rekindled. Past students have said they discovered a stronger sense of love, respect, and belonging with the natural world.
By the end of this course, you will:
... be learning to slip into your Forest Bathing state at will, calm and relaxed.
... be learning to maintain that restful mental state for longer.
... be enjoying improved wellbeing.
... have a deeper sense of belonging in nature.
... have found your own unique style of Forest Bathing that suits you and your lifestyle.
... have developed some habits of Forest Bathing, with the support of Jan and the group.
"I found undertaking the course to be a positive and joyful experience,

Meet Jan, your course guide!
I was guiding Forest Bathing walks in the woods when Covid struck. I felt so frustrated because I knew that people needed the health and wellbeing benefits of nature connection more than ever, but we were unable to meet.
So I combined my experience in healthcare, with my love and care for people, nature, and our beautiful planet, by creating an online course. I did not know if it could work, but I had to try.
I was amazed to find there were some real advantages to learning together online, and it is now my preferred way to offer this magical practice. My vision is that all people have the opportunity to develop a direct personal relationship with their local nature.
I live in the UK, and when I'm not working as a therapist, tutor, or course creator, I'm often to be found in my vegetable garden, walking, cooking world food, or making willow baskets.
